COVID-19 Serological Antibody Test

Now at Atrium Medical by appointment only

Antibody blood tests, also called antibody tests, check your blood for antibodies which can show if you were infected with the novel corona virus. Depending on when someone was infected, the test may not find antibodies in someone with a current COVID-19 infection. For more information check our blog post:

How can I get the test?

Like most medical tests, the antibody test can only be ordered by a licensed physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner. You will need a doctor’s visit or consultation. Please schedule an appointment via our patient portal, www.atriummednyc.com (Book Appointment), and or call us at 212-457-1722 starting May 4, 2020. *Please be on time for in office appointments. If you are more than 10 minutes late, we will reschedule your appointment.

If you cannot make it into our office, Atrium Medical offers televisit appointments. After your televisit consultation, we will e-mail and upload your lab requisition into the patient portal and you can visit the nearest in-network laboratory and have them draw your blood.

Which test will I get?

Atrium Medical recommends getting an FDA-authorized antibody test. Please note that some medical practices in NYC have been directing patients towards tests that have not been adequately evaluated by FDA and are charging egregious out of pocket fees for this. Please educate yourself before you get tested.
